Heres my "Street XJ". The only things i have done so far is the 2 inch blocks in the rear and the 20's. oh yeah....and a badass sound system.
hey man those rims look genuinely cool... i like the setup man its original, i like to see 'out of the ordinary' yours has the same stance as mine thast cool, i lifted my rear leafs to level off ended up wiht some lift by accident. cool XJ man
thats for the compliments guys. right now im getting my sound system the way i want it since i LOVE music...and not i dont listen to rap. most people think its supid to have big rims and a system unless your black...which im not. as you can yell by the slipknot and metallica stickers im into rock. but anyways....im getting a K&N FIPK and hopfully new exhaust and a header. i know i definatlly want flowmaster 40 series since thats what i have on all my cars/trucks. and yes i did get quite a few inchesof lift with just the wheels and tires. id say about 1 1/2 to 2 inches, then i put 2 inch blocks in the rear because i had some major rubbing over bumps. im also planning on loosing the blocks and getting a shackle and coil spacer lift, probably 2 inches. i really was going for that "thats not somthing you see everyday" look. the original plan was to lift it 6 inches with 35"x12.5" tires but i didnt have the finances for that so i decided....what the hell....chicks love the 20's anyways! i get just about the same amount of head turns as i do rollin around in my 05 mustang GT! man i talk alot...
oh and i have also repainted all the plastic trim and bumper covers because it was all discolored when i bought it. im sure that has happend to alot of you with a newer style XJ
ha thast awesome, my car is liek that... nobody sees it coming when i drop the valves adn slam the frame down, lol ive confused the crap out of many a ricer that way. i kinda wanted to get 18's, jsut simple ones then 33's for a cool look but still offroad capable
here's a couple pics of my old *** 87 from my balcony...lol. i'll snap a few more this wknd. don't even drive it...the 60th anniv edition just gets more looks...lol.
