LED's for interior

I want to replace my dome lights with LEDs, but I dont know anything about them... Where should I get them, can I just put new bulbs in or do I have to do wiring... Sorry if this is a vague question, I just dont really know anything about this stuff.

According to the sylvania bulb replacement guide you need a 561 bulb for your dome light. Just type in 561 LED in ebay and you should be good to go (you may need different bulbs if you have an overhead console). I doubt dropping in an LED into your dome light will cause any issue.

Replacing your front signal lights with LEDs is a completely different story however

Well I'm not entirely sure if the overhead console uses the same 561 bulbs since overhead console bulbs could also be referred to as map lights (in which case sylvania lists 3 bulbs types 561, 906, and 912). Check your owners manual for the bulb type you require than go to ebay and type: "bulb number LED"

Shouldn't have to do any wiring, the ONLY time I've ever heard of anyone having to do anything to the wiring is on a guy I used to work with with his Honda Crosstour. he kept blowing fuses after doing LED's on the rev lights, had to do some small rewire in the back, after that it was no problem.

Go to superbrightleds.com and it will give you every bulb in your Jeep converted to LEDs, a great site and a great seller with great prices and better quality than eBay or Amazon LEDs.

Edit: just realized this thread is 5 years old WTF???

Even five year old threads need love sometimes.

I installed a bunch of white motorcycle accent led pods from xkglow.com in the cab to give more light in my Yj. I think I have seven total. Keep in mind that some guys use these for rock lights. The picture doesn't do it justice. I will take another one so my camera adjusts.

Papa Murphy's on the seat of a Jeep. You're just a beautiful woman and a dog away from heaven for me.
