Im a dipstick. I broke my dipstick.

Long story short I had to hammer a screwdriver through the oil filter to get it off (jiffy lube sucks) and I ended up snapping the plastic too off the dipstick, in my attempt to retrieve said dipstick I pushed it about 3 inches down the tube. How do I get it out? How do I take the tube out? Will it **** with the jeep if I drive it with a rogue dipstick?

Does your dipstick tube pull off? Some do and some don't, I don't know about your truck. Try some very thin needle nose to grab it out of the tube or some foreceps. It measure s fom the pan so it won't hurt it to drive

If you can't easily pull the tube...

I would take a thin screwdriver or other stiff metal tool and slide it down the tube and try to push the dipstick to the side against the tube while pulling up, you might be able to catch it and get it to come up.

I don't know that the tube comes out, its welded to a bracket that bolts to the engine block with some grounding wires behind it. I tried a small screw driver to no avail. I'm going to try the forcepts. I'll let you guys know if it works.

Some tubes are press fit in. I don't know on that particular vehicle. I have pulled out several. You unbolt it from the block and pull straight out.
