Here's my street Jeep. tell me what you think.

Since I bought my 01 XJ I have been on the fence on which route I wanted to go with it. Since having a lifted 05 TJ I thought I would do something different with the little XJ. I use it as a daily work car and family car. I tow our dirt bikes from place to place and figured lifting it would not be my best option. Ive been reading the threads here in the street Jeep section for quite some time getting some ideas so here is what I have done. I know this is not everyone's cup of tea (its not really mine either) ,but its different and that's what I wanted. Let me know what you think.

Here is how it looked when I bought it. Its all stock.

Here is what I have done so far. 22x9 Zinik wheels with 265/35/22 Kumo tires, removed the body moldings and roof rack, pioneer cd player, subs and amp, Polk audio mid's and highs. This week I am going to order the diamond clear marker light set, smoke the tail lights, and tint the front windows.

01 XJ sport. bone stock
05 Rocky Mountain Ed, 4-inch Rough country lift, 33x12.50 M/T Baja Claws, 15x8 ION Black Baja wheels and some other B.S

You put some 22s on the jeep and removed the cd player, subs, amp, highs and mids? I would think those would be things you would be adding with the rims?

your brakes are going to hate you. If you are going to use that large of a rim and tire you need to upgrade brakes.

Well dude, it's different, not what I like to see on an XJ, but if your happy that is all that matters. I hope you plugged the holes for the roof rack that you removed......

little bit smaller rims and tire unless you upgrade the brakes but for a street jeep the it lookes good get some blue under light and it will look good and take out the hitch when just driving around mabye get a good looking plug

Clean Jeep...but the rims are just too big. 18's are max on cherokee's that can still perform and look good.

You're handling, braking and acceleration just went out the window....let alone ride comfort. Those are all the things a street vehicle is intended for.

22's seem too big on a Cherokee (any Jeep with less than 36" tires IMO)

To each their own I guess, but I will keep my 15" black steelies thank you!

I don't understand why people turn 4x4 XJs into street jeeps like this. It's counterintuitive to the idea of a street jeep and it's pretty easy to find a good looking 2 wheel drive Jeep for several thousand cheaper than a 4x4. Just saying. But yea you need to upgrade your brakes and soon.

you know, it's almost funny, all you guys are ragging on this dude for his inadequate brakes, what about the guys in the other sections on this board who put a 4" lift and stuff 33's?????? why don't you guys to ot some other sections of this board and rag on brakes.

To the OP i think it looks alright, although it could use a 2"BB and i would have left the roof rack. But definitely lose the reciever with the ball on it, or when you don't use it at least.

good luck.

looking for 33x12.5x18 tires.

Bruiser -- 93 XJ Sport. 9.5" lift on 35"" Claws, Locked front & Rear, and some other crap. Rolled it
Cruiser -- 1998 XJ Classic. 3" RC lift. 32" Kuhmo Ventures. Sold it
1999 WJ Limited V8. 4" Mix-n-Match Lift. Nothing special.
