Thanks man. Here's a pic of my old amp set-up...before I switched to
two alpine amps... before I had my leather installed. I hated running
an amp in that area (I'm a big fan of stealthy installs)

yea, i like the new stealthy install way better.

i like everything to be "stealthy" i call it clean. i just think it looks better that way...and no one knows u've got it....well, except for my exhaust, i want people to hear me coming

WOW, that is one clean jeep, I love those sill plates and the tweater location, so obvious, yet for some reason, I didn't think of it.

If you don't mind me asking, how much were the sill plates and how did you go about getting them, they are very sexy!

BTW, the sills came from ebay Germany.

Calling All Picture Whores!!!

Since my Jeep is lifted and trimmed, I had to do something to distinguish mine from the "retneks". After all, what is a redneck Jeep doing in the 'burbs?
Okay, it might be a little ricey to some, but thank God for the Street Jeep Forum!
Here we go ...

My nice clean cockpit. The dash and cupholder are painted; the pinstripes are the peel-n-stick pinstripes from the autoparts store. Tweeters on the A pillar. And the extra panel under the steering wheel conceals my Alpine EQ. No pics of the gauges lit ... they won't sit still long enough for me to take a shot.

AC panel, and my head unit.

Rockford Fosgates in the front doors (2, 6.5" Pioneers in the hatch but somehow I never got around to taking pictures of those ...)

Preparing the cubbyhole for the 10" long-throw 800w sub ...

"Building" the sub ...

Sub built and installed, trim done, custom look (did it all myself).

6 Channel and Mono amps (Profile brand)

Finished, protected and concealed in a clutter-free trunk!

My pics were taken during different stages of the metamophosis of my XJ, so there might be little things that look different in different shots. But it's all put together now.

For now.
