When you apply VHT and clear coat, you need to wax it after before you put the lights back on. A lot of people seem to not do this and it leads to a dull/rough finish that makes the tint fade quicker.

I used 2 coats of glossy clear coat, and 3 coats of VHT nightshade spray. It darkened them up nicely, but light still shows through well. Often times this is a good time to upgrade bulbs, since lights are an out of sight/out of mind thing. I'll post pictures once I have the ability to.

You can find tinted covers on ebay. Be careful! I live outside of philly area and the cops are jerks about it. Its understandable why but before you do to much I would ask a local officer there opinions.
