Im a fellow DJ jeep owner here in the San Fernando Valley. Id love to chat it up with ya since I am planning on getting my DJ running again after having her in storage at my grandfathers house for a year... it needs a trans rebuild but the engine is strong. I am another DJ'er out here in AZ. Working on getting mine runing again after sitting for a few years. I am having a wiring problem at the moment. The wire between the Start solenoid and the Neutral safety switch is smoking whenever i connect the battery. I think its a rotten wire. Either way, how is your build going?

Thanks for the reply, I have another one I'm working on now. I'm going to leave this as a hard top for now. But it will also have the military look, I'm going with the desert storm sand color with olive drab bumpers, and trim. I will post pictures as I go along. Post your pictures when you get a chance, and please keep in touch!

Hey I just got a DJ about the same make as your from the sounds of it. How do you get the side windows down ? I can't tell if mine are stuck or somehow designed to stay up or what. The wiggle a little but I'm a little hessitant to force them and break something.
Just wonder if this is a common DJ issue or it's just me. Thkx ! Jamespennington71@gmail.com |

i know i joined kinda late to this forum, but i live in fort collins, CO and just rebuilt an old postal that had sat for 15 years. Now im thinking of making it 4wd but keep running into more problems than solutions. Do you guys care to share how you got your (if you did) postal into 4wd. Its already got a chopped top and i dont want to see this go, plus i have really gotten to know it over the past year
, but i need a 4wd vehicle soon. |
