Won't give you 15hp..but it may add about 5-7hp in the upper rpm range only (3500+). Gas mileage *may* slightly improve

You'll never get 15hp out of an air intake

I've been running my afe stage 2 for several years now, and I'm please with the quality. I also managed to save their dyno sheet (when it was posted on their site). They claim a max gain of 9 HP @ 3400 RPM
& 14 Ft-lbs of Torque @ 3400 RPM. I think the K&N intakes will get you 8hp.

i picked up my k&n fipk for $211 with free shipping from amazon.com. that price seemed comparable to the other high quality kits out there to me. doubt it would make a noticable difference by itself, but with the bored tb and header installed at the same time, it was a very noticable difference. havent chacked gas mileage yet because i havent been able to keep my foot off the go pedal since the install...

well just making the 4.0 stop puking oil in to the intake will give you better mpg. and if yours does not then you are lucky

well you open up your airbox and if your air filter is covered in oil then you have a problem

but you have a 2001 xj so I think jeep might have fixed that problem after more than a decade
