Where'd you go?

Now that I have rear recovery points and my XJ is pretty much 'done', I want to go play...

We tried to make it up to Lonesome Lake, but the roads were closed from Snowpacolypse, so we took some other FS roads, and eventually hit snow too deep to continue. It was a good time, but frustrating having to change plans at the last moment.

I think my buddy and I are making a push to head out this weekend if you're interested.

This "done" you speak of.... what is that exactly...? Is that possible to attain?

GtiKyle,
Congrats on coming home to a box of goodies. Few things are quite as thrilling. People that dont mod their stuff have no idea what they are missing.

I'm not sure, alcohol may have been involved with that post.

Looks like a fun project...I notice that JCR (and probably most mfg's) has the same 3-hole nutstrips for the frame rails as the ones I got from AJ, but only the first and last ones line up with any pre-existing holes. Is the middle hole for pre-97 XJ's or just for ones with factory hitch mounts or something?

I'd like to head out this weekend but I have a flag football tournament Saturday and am going to try to hit the slopes on Sunday.

Hmm, I'll have to update you on the frame tie in piece when i install it.
Bummer we'll miss you this weekend. Although i think we're going to hit some easy trails as a shakedown run for my buddies rig that just got put back together.

Well Saturday is pretty much out as our games usually start around noon in Seattle, but I can probably skip skiing Sunday as I'll probably be too sore and tired. A day behind the wheel on my butt sounds a lot more relaxing.

I think we were planning on heading out sunday. I'll keep you updated as the week goes on. Got some last minute things to tweak before we head.

What did you use to strap the shovel/axe to the cage?

they all laughed at Gtikyle and his "zombie response vehicle". They said he was crazy, they said it would never happen...

until the day he saved their life.

Came across this thread and noticed some are from areas I grew up... Puyallup!! Left there in '99 and have only been back once in '07. Wow that place has changed.
