What were the specs on it? Regeared, locker???? I looked back a few pages to find out, but gave up. I can't keep my attention on one thing that long and I am easily distracted by shiny objects.

Guys I need help.

I don't know if it is the winter being a bit of a trouble maker or what. But here goes 1 I need to do shock hoops I ordered some but the order got canceled. So of I were to plate the uniframe and do ford shock hoops is that me being stupid? It looks like it would work great they would be welded to the frame plates.
Second spare tire problems how do you guys on over 33s mount it?
Third tires: my current plan is to run my 34 swampers till they are dead then I don't know if I want to go to 35 cooper stts or perhaps some 36 iroks or the new falken mt.
Forth I will have my rear axle out of the truck for gearing so I'm tempted to make a truss for it. And either run a traction bar or start a rear 4 link. Because I'm getting wicked axle wrap.
Fifth I'm debating bumping it to 4.5 inches of lift. Pros cons?
6th I'm debating flat skidding it with a steel crossmember then doing a plastic skid like nick did.

And as far as my actual build goes I am working on my axle swap I just need the spindle. I have also fixed my frame up a bit and started gathering some metal for stiffies.

If you're going to run 34s you might as well just stick to what you have until you can jump completely to 35s or 36 IROKs, in which case how exactly do you plan on mounting it? To a bumper? Throwing it in the back of the jeep?

Why can't you get XJ shock hoops? Either way, I personally think plating the frame is the way to go before putting on hoops.

Figure out what's causing your axle wrap, because it isn't necessarily something with how the axle is secured, but potentially something slightly loose or off in the whole rear suspension or driveline for that matter. How do you know it's so bad?

1.5" is a good height, only thing is getting a SYE (dont remember if you have one)

Flat belly is cool, but you have to be careful because you have to clock the t-case and redrill it, if you mess it up it's going to leak forever. Read ibj's guide on a flat belly XJ.

So I'm thinking about it. Axle wraps do to shot leafs. And you can feel it binding when you get on it.
Figured I'd update this crap build...
Debating a Isuzu corp 12 bolt 1.5 inch axle shafts and a 9.6 inch ring gear comes with 4.56s and disks just needs to be welded. Both in terms of perches and the spiders. Unless its a LSD in that case I may leave it but hey for 45 bucks I won't complain. It is either 58 or 63 WMS so it is possibly going to need spacers I think I'm going to stay on leafs for now. It is a 3rd member style axle so that is a plus and it also is cheap at junk yards. If I do gernade it another 4.56 third is 100 at the yard. Now do I drill it and the rotors to 5 lug like my front or just rock two different lug patters for now?

Most third members are pretty tough, different lug patterns mean different rims, always looks a little hokey

No ****. Just put something together and wheel it. I don't get on here and ask these newbs 1000 questions before I do something to mine. What are they going to do, tell me to put angry eyes on it? That will definitely help it wheel better!
