Yeeeeesh. Sounds like a recipe for a massive burn-your-jeep-to-the-ground fire. ATF is extremely flammable - you wheel like that? That's either really brave or really stupid

I couldn't get out of that ride. I started it I had to ride it. It only leaks bad parked but I am fixing that this weekend I hope.

Why would you have to outboard them at all? Am I missing something?

how close are they to bottoming out now? moving them up will only raise the mount point about 2". If getting new shocks is an issue just weld the mounts back on

It is but I also don't like scraping them

I have 4 inches of up travel now.

Mount them to the side of the axle tube. That way, you don't lose much up travel and they aren't munching on rocks.
