I upgraded from 2 nickels to 3 pennies yesterday. Much quieter (and cheaper) now.

i really have to try that...

You know you drive an XJ when you hit the horn and it sounds like a dying whale. (my '90 sounded like that)

Mine sounds more like a sickly goat.

when you have to warn 1st time riders about the bumpy ride, no a/c, and no leg space.

when you need to fix a leak but end up buying something else instead.

when the electric fan is louder than the stereo.

when you tell your passengers to "brace for impact" when your brakes lock up.

when riding in your jeep is such an adventure that you refer to people who have never been in it "1st time riders"

Or when you find sweet XJ deals online, and then think of your friends who would suit the Jeep you just found.

You then go the next step and send them the link and tell them over coffee at work why they should buy the sweet 2000 XJ Sport with 80,000 KM's on it.

Then you want to buy it because it is cleaner/better/nicer/less pooched than yours....

Then you cant sleep

if these are already here I'm sorry (only got to page 45) but here it goes...

You know you drive an XJ when ...
-You washed it the other day and realize that you have never seen it clean! (covered in dirt when I got it.)
- Your jeep only cost $300 bucks (originally mind you) because it was pieced together from 3 'parts jeeps'
- You have named the crack in your windshield.
- Your friends won't ride in it because it is so ugly... and that's AFTER you washed it!
- You have bought enough epoxy to fill a small swimming pool... and your cup holder still won't stay on.
- Your headliner flaps in the wind when you drive with the windows down.
- When you carry a box of spare parts in the back for 'quick fixes.'
- When you freak out because the weird noise STOPPED!
- When your dog is covered in wet and mud and you still let him ride in the front seat.
- when you have to park on the street at your friends house because your jeep hasn't been "potty trained" yet. (My friend's little sister told me that, shes three.)
