haha that would be awesome! a 4wheel capable taco stand! you'd never get hungry out on the trails!

I took it to a mechanic once, never again...unless I find a mech that _only_ wrenches on Cherokees. But then...isn't that a lot of people on here?

There is no way mechanics spend the time on JeepForum that we do!

You're considering taking welding classes so you can work on your Jeep...
You _never_ loan your XJ to _anyone_ unless they own an XJ too...
You hear a noise in the night and you panic and run to see if the XJ is ok...

when you get paranoid about parking in the street in case some idiot drunk driver hits it. then you think you don't really care if it got totaled b/c then you'd have a trail rig......then you realize it's the only vehicle you own and go move it into the driveway

I had that happen to my old truck... GF woke me up saying she heard an accident I told her to go back to sleep... Woke up in the morning went to hit my auto start to warm up the truck, and nothing happend. Walked outside and there was a astro van looking like it tried to swallow my truck. Best part was a note on where my window used to be saying "I'm sorry. I really loved your truck. Heres my number........."

Now when I get my XJ( 2 days) I have allready staked out a good spot for her.... now I just gotta find landmines, clamores, and possibably a sherman or two to protect it from the kids round here that steal cats all the time.....

Spare ignition coil wired through a relay that's wired back on itself. Take output of coil and attach to Jeep. Stick ground wire from coil in ground. Ensure ground stays moist.

Someone touches the Jeep and they'll find out what all of us already know - grabbing a live spark plug wire on a running engine is an extremely painful experience. Except your Jeep is taking the place of the spark plug wire. Used to use this on my Chevy Luv when I was in the Navy. Came back to it a couple times to fingerprints burned into the door handle.

No freaking way! That works? And it doesn't kill your battery?

You know you drive an xj when you consider it the "serial killer of Jeeps". Looks like a normal vehicle on the outside, but is capable of un-Godly things when provoked.

lol that would be great. I used to glue razor blades on the back end of my CD deck, but when a kid tried to steele it he ended up geting 12 stitches on his hands and the cops told me to remove them.... only problem with this idea is stated above dont you think it'd etheir fry the electronics when someone made it arc, or the batterie would die first?

Twin batteries, the aux running through an isolator. Even at full tilt the coil would take over 3 months to wear the battery down all the way. And I still had the primary battery to start it up.

As for frying electronics, the ignition was never on with the system engaged, so no worries there. Kind of hard to GET to the ignition with the system armed!!
