Heh, Matt. You seen my XJ? It looks like I dragged it out of the refuse pile of a junk yard and slapped plates on it. LOL

That's never happened to me. Out of all the places I've gone to and called I've always said need such and such part for a 92 jeep cherokee laredo...never once been asked in return "grand cherokee"

either we have smarter people here in Jersey or maybe I just get lucky.

Your just lucky.

I say I need XXX for a 1998 Jeep Cherokee 4wd 6cylinder.

First question, Grand Cherokee or Cherokee

There were no grand cherokee's in 1992, so he's not just lucky.

My friend with a ZJ used to work at autozone. He said he had to ask that question to everyone because so many people called their grand cherokees "cherokees". He even told this guy he drove a grand cherokee himself and the one the guy drove in looked like his so he thought it was a grand. The guy still insisted he had a '98 CHEROKEE with the 5.2L V8.

I think my buddy even asked this kid to go look what it says on the side of his door.
