XJ's still hold their value:

My neigbor is a car dealer and placed a stop bid yesterday on a 2001 Cherokee 4x4 Sport with 18,203 miles. I told him to place the bid at $ 8,200. The Jeep sold for $9,900. That did not include the buyers premium of $ 200 and additional costs to ship.

He bought my 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4x4 last year with 56,000 miles for $ 5,600. Both of these Jeeps were from GSE auctions.

I guess someone needed the Jeep more than I did.

18kand 56k are extremely low mileage compared to the avg for these suckers, that would be my guess as to why those prices seem a bit higher then the norm.

about 3.5 years ago i bought my 99 with only 50k miles for $9000 but it was in such beautiful condition.. then i got a hold of it nd packed on a lift tires and armor/ bumpers hacked out my fenders and now its even more purtyyyy. wen i bought it, it actually came with the chrome running boards which seem to be very rare, looked nice but aj super rails fixed that one ahahhah still is beautiful with 95k on it now. i actually got to drive this girls 94 xj with 20k original miles on it, it actually still smelled new. her father garaged it and used it from time to time in the winters

^ Easy, I stole a 99' XJ with 50,000 miles on it, but left $250 at their house because I felt bad so.....I win!

Kidding, but seriously wow...300 bucks, sounds like a deal to me

Awesome deal...but really who cares about mileage on the jeeps? i have over 377k
on my daily driver xj and trust it more than i would trust a brand new 3.7l. Jeeps are just about bullet proof.

Yeah, they must have never driven the thing.
I bought my 2004 with 28k miles on it... I've only had it for 2 years and I now have 91k.
I also paid $16,000 for the sucker...
