Running 33s on stock gears will do that with any trans, a stick just stalls. With deeper gears you shouldn't be moving fast at all in 4L, the lower gears will allow you to crawl over stuff more with control. With stock gears on my 33s i used to have to ride the brakes and gas cus i would slide off of rocks or I was running into them to fast. 4.88s solved that problem and many others..... ok no more talk in a pic thread!

That was priceless, Funny. I had the same thing happen once on Holy Cross. Question? What tire pressure are you running? Those tires don't look to be squatting very much. I usually run 18-20 psi. Gives the tires nice grip. Give it a try. Some guys I run with go as low as 15psi with out bead locks.
Where is that rock garden, looks like fun?
NICE XJ

Its in an offroad park in Pennsylvania, its called Rausch Creek.

Im at 15, but the goodyear MTR/kevlar has a super strong/stiff sidewall, i could go lower, but i dont wanna loose a bead. By far the best tire i have owned though, ive had two sets of KM2s, two sets of MTRs, and general grabber at2.
