The only problems I have with these videos (and many more on YouTube) is the lack of editing. I'm not saying you have to add fancy transitions and fade-ins and dissolves, etc, but just cut off the beginning and end where nothing is happening. Starting the camera and getting in the car, starting the engine and fastening your seatbelt doesn't make for compelling video. Cut off that bit and leave the good parts. (Critique given with the best intentions. )

What kind of camera was that?

It's a Kodak ZI8. Similar to the flip cameras, but takes 1080P. I do edit my videos usually, but just decided to throw those two up there. Thanks for the critique. I pretty much agree, but I'm in need of some better software for .mov files.

Northern Ontario Canada,

There is a 1.5 ftledge at the top of the hill that is undercut on the driver side. Heep just wouldn't climb it.
31's with an 8.8 sucks. Its a damn boat anchor.

I may have to try that sometime... This past weekend I was "hand-holding" mine, and even had my 7 y/o holding the video camera. Neither is an ideal solution, for obvious reasons.

Time to add my own contribution(s).

After seeing this video, my wife told me I needed more lift on the XJ. I couldn't agree more. After the gas tank is fixed (poked a hole in it later the next day).... Many thanks to SGT_Jeep for shooting this video for me.

YouTube - 2010 Badlands Jeep Jamboree - XJ Stuck

About 45 seconds into this next one you'll see SGT_Jeep start his attempt at climbing out of a creek that gave *everyone* trouble. In the process of being pulled out his bumper gets yanked HARD, and I think he messed up his steering. Sharp XJ though!
