(Mods, edit if you want. I know this has absolutely nothing to do with xj vids)

It's usually not a problem to secure the other car, the possible problems begin when you start moving. As I said, it's propably possible to use a winch to help someone go down, but it is still not the best way to do it - I'd say more like last possible option. Also, it's not a nice thing to have some hanging from your rear end when going down - it pretty much eliminates your possibility to control the rear of your vehicle. Ever been pulled out of deep snow bank or from mud? If yes, you propably have an idea what I mean. But as said, I've never really tried something like that, if someone has any experience he/ she might wanna share it with us?

..what comes to winching, I might not be the right guy to ask how hard it usually is. I've only needed to winch a normal- sized 4x4 vehicle a couple of times. All the other times have been these fellas (though I never needed to haul heavy artillery):

(yup, did manage to get one stuck up to its axles on a mudpit.. it wasn't funny..)

Josh got me a large file, so I kinda cut it up to make it easier to view. I'd recomend being on high speed to try to view it.

Just a note, I didn't edit anything, I simply just cut it up a bit. I didn't add any music, it's raw footage. I'm not responsiable for what the people taking the video say either...

I'll keep it in order for you from the start of the day untill Josh took off. We did quite a bit more, but either cam wasn't on or Josh had already left. Thier is over an hour's worth of footage, so watch as you have time. Some of it is not worth viewing, some of it is....

Great videos! I thoroughly enjoyed watching those. Now I can't wait to get on a trail and do some of that stuff, though I certainly don't want to cave my door in.

I liked the way those XJ's sounded. Do they all have aftermarket exhausts and headers or are some of them still stock?

Sweet, great filming and editing! Now that's what a Jeep is for

The quality is pretty damn good too, what camera are you using, better yet are you using the memory card, or was that tape?

Sony High-Definition MiniDV 4.0MP Handycam Camcorder with 2.7" SwivelScreen Color LCD

If you think the quality is good... you should have seen the original! It was originally 439mb for just 2mins of video. I had to shrink that to 30-something to get it to fit on my website:

That is a very nice camera for sure! Very good quality , and I can imagine how good it would be with the original. I take it you had the settings on the maximum quality too? That's alot of space for 2mins of film, haha!

Either way, I like your style

Can't wait till I get my hands on a HDV- camcorder.. I've been looking for one since they were introduced. The video quality is just amazingly good. Would be nice to see that original- vid from my silverscreen.. HD- resolution projectors are a nice thing when you have a big screen

How much you have to pay for that camcorder in the states? I think the cheapest Sony model almost anywhere here in Europe costs ~2500-3000$.
