XJ = Totalled :-[

Well...some bad news. The XJ is totalled. Some *** from New York in a big *** F-150 cut infront of my trying to make a u-turn leaving his *** end still in my lane, giving me nowhere to go but into him. Because he was already goin so fast tryin to make the u-turn, he also went through the other lanes and struck a minivan. Needless to say, it wasn't a pretty sight. I was wearing the seatbelt, but the force of in knocked my shoulder out of it and slammed me into my steering wheel. It got jacked pretty bad and is almost touching the column.

Either way, it looks like silver bullet v2.0 isn't going to happen. It sucks, but being that its a 92 with no air bags, and hitting him as hard as I did, it could have been much worse...so Im quite thankful given the circumstances. My neck is pretty messed up, but I shall live to see another day. But now Im stuck with nothing to drive until I can find something new.

Anyway, on to some pics I have...

Here is how the steeringwheel looks after I hit it:

It does not look bad (the jeep not the accident). Did you go to the hospital? Did you give the driver of that truck a few choice words? Glad you are still kickin!

It dont look too bad. If the sheet metal frame is good then you can fix it. I hate that a XJ with a ax15 was lost.

Well I bought the Jeep for 1300 only about 2 months ago. However, the estimated damage is at least 2200. Buying the Jeep back, then having it repaired would be more then its worth in my opinion. Right now, I'm not sure what Im going to do. I've been lookin at other Jeeps that are already lifted and such. I hate to "buy" it and not "build" it, but I need something for college next month, and dont have time to do it myself.

And yes, I did go to hospital. They were concerned due to how hard I must have hit the steering wheel for it to bend like it did, so they took me just incase. The minivan was loaded with a family, so 7 people total when to the hospital. It was pretty rough..

Here is kinda funny pic for yall:

dude, you'd be a fool not to cut your fenders throw a condenser, if it indeed needs it and a grill, bumper and hood on it....that not bad at alll just an excuse to buy a grant wheel...and if you dont buy it back PM me and i will....it matches my heep and doesnt have any of the paint fade

Dang that sucks. Those steering wheels are good though cause they give pretty easy. I had an accident where I wasn't wearing a seatbelt and basically did what you did. Cept busted the windsheild with my head. They took my to hospital as precaution but everythign was good. Glad you were fine.
