XJ Specifications question

In the Transmissions section there is a ref to AW4 as the electronicly controled transmission used in 87 and has a power/comfort button which adjusts the shift intervals. Someone told me it [ the power choice I guess had to do with towing.

Am I thinking correctly that the lowest gear would stay in play for a longer time and same for the subsequent changes?

Ron

In 'Power' it upshifts later and downshifts sooner.

1st one- 1989 Cherokee Laredo. 12 great years
2nd one- 2001 Cherokee Limited. Got it before they were gone.
