My first experiance with any kind of Jeep was in 1997 when my dad got a 97 XJ SE for his police car. I've since married into a Jeep family that includes a 2002 WJ, a 95 ZJ, 81 CJ, 89 XJ, and in the past a TJ and some others.
My mechanical experiance is limited to working on GM 300 platform (Caprices, Impalas, Roadmasters, etc) cars specifically the Caprice police car. Getting out of that and going to XJs. Bought my first one two weeks ago, a 99 XJ Sport that needs a TON of work....
