I have done this twice. The first time held for about 6 months. Then I did this: http://www.lunghd.com/Tech_Articles/.../Headliner.htm

The trim should not be too hard. take your time and be gentle!! Good luck

Question.

I am a "new" jeep owner.

Cherokee sport vintage 1996.

I see full floor consoles in a lot of pictures (cup holders etc) that look stock.
Did the 96 cherokee sports not come with a full console? I have plastics around the shifters and the E-brake, and that is it.

Again New guy here. :P

Cup holders in the center console started in 1997. Before that you have the option of adding them over the ebrake (annoying), or hanging them off the passenger side of the console (where passengers will kick them).

I'm looking into adding some cupholders from a volvo 850 to mine. GF has them and they are pretty rad.

I finally got the time from work to do my headliner it took awhile to do cause of the weather. I made it black and painted the dome light and speakers to match it. Thanks again for the advice. The only problem I had was finding a way to do the sun visors any advice.

Looks pretty simple. What did you use to color it? Paint?

And what do you use the rails for running along the edges or is that part of the Jeep since I don't remember mine having those.

It's a simple job I just spray painted it with a black gloss paint. It seemed like an easy way to fix the headliner looks great only thing that sucked was getting the paint smell out of the jeep. It's fine now. Ya those rails aren't stock they were on there when I bought my jeep in 2005. My jeep was used as a company vehicle before I bought it but I really don't know what they used the rails for. I use them to hold an axe or shovel.

Made a little switch panel for my rock lights and spot lights, it will eventually have 4 other switches whenever I get around to wiring them up
