I am planning on making a sleeping platform that folds out when the seat is down.

Webdog: My CB is mounted in the exact same spot and I haven't come up with a good solution for the mic...until I saw the pic of your flashlight holder/cord holder. What type of clip is that and where did you get it?

Thanks, and nice XJ

X2, I was always curious... I would never cut up my woodgrain though, I'll use a sport bezel.

--Replaced the stock lighting in the console with LEDs (Cargo light too)
- Auto-dimming rear view mirror, '98 ZJ
- Replaced the stock stereo
- Rocklight switch mounted to the right of the instrument cluster
- Cargo net over cargo area, '97 ZJ
- Mounted 3-cell flashlight to the outside of the driver seat
- Fire ext. mounted in the rear cargo cubby
- Replaced stock footwell lights with 4" LED bars
- Mount 4" LED bars under driver/pass seat to light the rear footwells

Still planned:
- LED dash lighting
- Aux power plug or inverter mounted in cargo area
- Hurc the interior
- Pick and install a CB (maybe)
- Install padding at panel & dash mounts to silence any squeaks/rattles

I think thats it...
Do you have any pictures of the upgrades? You did a lot of the things that I wanna do to my 95.

Thanks,
Alex.

Mine was mounted in the same spot on the passengers side, I just mounted the mic on the dash. Screwed it right in and put a little glue in the hole. Never had it pull out or anything.

If anyone is wondering about the giant hole in the lighter bezel, I drilled out for a switch then realized I didn't have room enough behind it to put the switch there.

In the FAQ at the top of the page, theres a guide to posting pictures. Follow it, even if they don't show up yet due to a lack of posts they will when you hit 50 and when people quote you they will show up.

When I took the lights out of my ZJ, I had an empty switch hole. I just put a piece of electrical tape on both sides and it sticks well to itself and blends well enough for it not to be blatantly noticeable. Or just find a small dummy switch or something at vatozone.

I don't have that XJ anymore, not that I was ever that worried about it.

I put the "Vehicle Information Center" from a ZJ below the heater controls (wiring is a b1tch), intending on putting accessory switches in front of my shifter where the little pocket is (the dash side) got the plate ready, but deciding on XJ oem fog light switches, or some lighted toggles.
