check that out....doors do nothing for structual integrity of the jeep, should end that debate

Actually the doors do help in a crash.

We just had a class at the Fire Department on vehicle rescue and they even mentioned cherokee's and said it does make a difference.

The only vehicle that it doesnt matter on is the wrangler or any vehicle with a proper cage setup. in the video you can see you the energy is transfered through the door into the B pillar like its supposed to in order to keep the energy off of you. when the doors are off the energy is transfered directly through the a pillar into the weak roof and floor. You can even see the foor actually folds in the video with the doors on.

Keep in mind this only applies to head on or rear impacts. On side impacts the only real function of the doors is to protect you from being hit directly by metal.

id like to see the same test but add 4'' lift 32 '' tires and a BIG honkn bumper and see if that changes the outcome...lol

you would prob just need a new tire
then the state would charge you for scratching there test wall
