Why Do 96-98 Engine Master Kits Cost More?

Same kit, same seller, same components.
Same 4.0l rebuild specifications.

94-95 $430 - 96-98 $550.

I don't get it.

I call it a distributor, not a dizzy.

Could be more modern gaskets. The valve cover, oil pan gasket and head gasket were upgraded. I think the cork gasket for the valve cover is like $10. Not sure of the upgrade 96-up rubber over steel gasket. I'd say more. Fel-Pro makes a rubber gasket for the older valve covers $38 to $50 though.

Yeah, some of it could be that.

Also I noticed the cam costs more too. I don't know why.
