where to.mount cb?

Hey guys kinda debating where yo mount my CB in my rig this might get fun... post some pics of where you have your CB mounted and where you have your antenna mounted

i have my CB just stuffed between driver seat and center console. and the antenna is just on the roof in the middle of my spare.
hard to see but its there.

This is where I have mine mounted along with antenna.

Just running a K30 mag mount with my Uniden Grant XL CB radio.




She thinks my JEEP is SEXY!

I like it up on the roof because the speaker is close to your ears.

1998 Cherokee, 6.5" LA, D30/C8.25 4.56 locked F/R, 35" MTR's, other goodies ...

You can cut the handle off a ping pong paddle and slide the paddle under the headliner to mount it to.

Mine's mounted between the visor's as well. I used the visor clip mounts though and just extended an L bracket from the cb mount to the visor brackets. Worked like a charm.

Seems like it would be more secure thats for sure!

Definitely seems secure, hasn't budged. All my wiring is run between the headliner and roof then so it's out of the way. Was alot easier doing all of that at the same time I was bedlining the headliner.

I like your idea I've always liked the idea of having my CB on roof I work on an ambulance and that's where ours is mounted

Nice. Yeah, the location for the CB & switch panel were influenced by our firetrucks...been running fire/rescue 22 years now and ambulance as well off & on during those years. I like the CB being up & out of the way where it is. The XJ just doesn't have a lot of mounting room on the dash or center console for stuff really.
