this way i can just unplug the wires fron the amp to the sub and put my amp under my seat when i go wheeling and need the space in the back for something else

I have my amp mounted under the back seat that way no one can see it, and its protected by the seat and everything... of course once i redo the interior of my jeep it will not be there.. I plan on building my jeep this year and i will be taking pics to show the process. poor jeep is sitting out in the snow with a broken leg... (needs new axle shaft) but instead of fixing it i figure its a good time to start building it up..

I have tried under the front pass. seat, under the rear seat, on the box, and bolted to the back of the seat as well. I dont like any of those places but for now its on the back of the back seat.

I don't know about mounted, but mine is casual thrown under the back seat. This has the advantage of letting me adjust it with a long screwdriver from the driver seat when I am stuck in traffic. Much easier to tune a system when you don't have to get out and walk around to the back. (Tuning my friend's 90 jetta, and my dad's 66 impala sucked, trunk mounted amps, yuck)
