In my driveway or on the street i call it "the jeep"
In the woods and on the trail i refer to it simply as "bone-saw"

Somebody on here named their Jeep 'Pandora', and as soon as I saw it I was kicking myself for not thinking of it.

Being as mine's an old fleet XJ, I call it 'The War Wagon' because it looks like it's been through the war.

well it depends on the day, sometimes it is "my baby" or "the grey beast", while others it is "[bleep] why the[BAM] did ever[%*#@] buy this piece of [bleep] in the first place(pushes jeep of a cliff)", as is the case when i was stranded without a working starter

You should have heard me when my starter fell off less than 24 hours after buying it because the previous had pulled the threads on both bolts.

There's something about speeding through the woods, getting bogged down in mud holes and lurching over fallen logs that's good for the soul. Time flies when all we can think about are the four tires underneath us and how we are going manage to get through the next obstacle on the trail. We take each challenge as it comes. We get stuck, we get out. We break something, we fix it. We come out dirty, bruised, and exhausted... but we're smiling.
Ok. That would suck. At least you didn't have to make new threads in anything...or did you? A double whammy would suck even worse.

Edit: GAAA! I did my own pet peeve! I just looked at your post and realized I'm quoted as putting then where it should be than.

New Mexico Driving Rules...

As a general rule, the vehicle most in need of a significant amount of bodywork (for which the driver is most likely uninsured) always has the right of way.
Never use directional signals when changing lanes. They only serve to give away your next move, causing most NM drivers to speed up and not let you in. In fact, use of directional signals within most large NM city limits is actual illegal.
NM law states that at least 50% of all paved surfaces within the state must be under construction at any one time. In all construction zones, at least half of the available lanes must be closed, regardless of whether any actual construction is be accomplished or not. Construction signs shall be regularly repositioned in order to warn drivers about upcoming lane closures immediately after they pass the last exit before traffic backups.

Driving through constructions zones with upcoming lane closures is a popular game in NM. It’s called the "speed up and pass as many cars as you can, then see how close to the lane closure you can squeeze back into traffic before hitting any of the orange construction barrels" game.
