What should I do first?

Hi,

I have been poking through threads but unsure what I should start on first. I have a 01 XJ and have a few small repair projects but am unsure what fun/tinkering items I should line up after I finish my repair projects.

Up for any thoughts or ideas.

I will try to post photos soon.

Depends on what your goals are for the jeep. Is this your daily driver? Or do you plan on making it a trail rig?

This, and budget will be the deciding factor.

It is my daily driver so can't go trail crazy yet. Budget and project wise I want to start small and work my way up. I am capable of almost all projects skill wise but just kinda having writers block on what to do first. Hence why I am open to ideas

I have thought about the improving the mpg project. But would like to upgrade the jeep overall.

Angry Eyes.
Nightshade.
Monster Energy Decals.
Anything remotely ricey.
Cheap HF or WallyWorld Fog Lights.

Please don't do any of these.

Consider an entire vehicle fluids change, a full cooling system restoration assuming the radiator is fine - water pump, t_Stat, upper & lower rad hoses, serp. belt, coolant flush, and a full chassis and drivetrain lubrication.

Then the rest is personal. A 2" Budget Boost and some trimming can have you driving 31" tires for under $200 plus the cost of tires. That's what I'd consider as my first enhancement of any XJ even if it's only destined to be a DD.

Just pick up a new Cherokee if you want a wiener-mobile.

As already posted. What do you want to build? Mall Crawler or Rock Crawler? Trail Rig or Mud Buggy?

It's kinda pointless to give you lots of advice until we understand your end goal.
