What to look out for

I'm going to sell my an soon worth about 8k and going to purchase a xj for 2 to 4k. Question is, what do I need to look for when looking at older xj, 150k and over. Thanks!

Check the floors thouroughly. Makes sure you dont have major rust issues because it is common. Best thing to do is bring the car to a mechanic you trust and have it fully inspected prior to purchasing. Any reputable seller should not have an issue with getting it checked out. If they do, then its probably not a good purchase and you should look elsewhere.
