Was trying to see in your picture. Did you have to remove the tranny,TC, and parking brake levers to remove the console? At some point I am going to have to rip up some, if not all the interior, to get some stuff done and was curious.
Well the console, engine, transmission, transfer case, and trasnsfer case shifter has been torn out of this Jeep for months since my old roommate did the 4wd swap on his 01 XJ. I believe to get the 4wd shifter out the console and driver seat had to be removed. The console itself should come out by just taking the handle off the transmission shifter and shifting the transfer case into 4Lo. The plastic around both the transmission shifter and around the transfer case shifter can be removed first. I believe there are screws that hold the console down in the center console storage area. I didn't remove the console though so I can't say for sure on that last part.
