Ive been through 3 sets of KO1's. If the KO2's are gonna feel different, i may as well switch to what I really want.

I like my Duratrec's other than that that I can't seem to keep them balanced anymore. They have about 25k miles on them and although they still have at least half tread, they shake from around 60 to 65 mph. They are smooth at 50 and smooth at 75. I had them static balanced a while back and bead balanced them since then, still no difference. All the plow guys around my area run them and love them. For traction, I have been very satisfied. Great all around tire, but the balancing issue is frustrating. I'll probably go with something else when I wear these out or make the jump to 35's, whichever comes first.

But its 33's you're having trouble balancing, correct?

Correct. Not sure if people are having the same issues with the smaller, skinnier tires.

Ive heard enough good things about them that my mind is made up. Im just too disappointed with all that was changed on the KO2.

As far as noise vs traction goes, I'm not sure there is a better tire on the market.

The one biggest concern is how hard they get at -20 to -40F? And then theres the times we hit -60. I hate skating on dull blades. Im doing it nonetheless, just hope its all for the better

Coldest I have driven on them was probably -10. They were fine. My roommate has a Subaru on performance summer tires which are useless below like 40F, these were nothing like that at -10.

Whelp. I lost my storage place on my 3 Jeeps and trailer. So the XJ is coming home. My gfs XJ is going to her parents. And my YJ will be almost 2 hours away -.-. But it is what it is. Ordered 5 15x10 soft 8's today. Only needed 4. And I'll be picking up the quarter armor with rub rails and 1 ton crossover steering Sunday. The question is. Do I pull the trigger on adjustable long arms from iro? I've had their non adjustable kit and loved it. 3 piece crossmember is awesome.

what happened to the custom long arms you buddy was making? And I opted against the adjustable part on my iro long arms just for the simplicity!

Ordered a front winch bumper from fordable off-road today for it and loaded my front axle into the suburban so I can take it to my buddies to have my ota track bar bracket welded on!

He doesn't have the time to currently. He made time for the steering however.

I know you asked for pics last week, I got some, but really can't see much. Lighting was bad & I had the wrong camera. Been raining cats & dogs lately, kinda takes the fun out of crawling under the rig with a camera.

Here are a couple I snapped before installation, hope they help.

What doesn't show well in the pic, the female thread is split & there are two allen bolts to pinch the thread down on the male thread to prevent movement. Not relying on a locknut to stay tight.

Good luck with your decision.

Working with cars is a little like a really awesome date: you start out expecting this to be something simple and straightforward; four hours later you're laying under her, panting and cursing, and things are a lot more complicated than you thought.
