I cleaned the monster tonight. finally, lol. I had a paper from like, june strewn out throughout it because of my windows being down when I was driving faster on the highway.

Going to pick up a bicycle, so yeah.

Still parked it at home. Drove the car again today. Took the jack stand and floor jack out from it to let someone borrow it. Probably won't drive it again until Sunday.

My XJ is part of my dad's insurance even though I own it, and the title is in my name, but to make my insurance manageable my name is on his '88 MJ since out of all our cars thats the one that was the lowest possible.

But to answer your question about the registration, I think it's fine. IIRC when I bought mine the PO had just paid the reg, and when I went to the DMV they changed it so I'd get the stuff for when it needed to be renewed the next year.

Alright cool, but then the registration has to be in the same name as the insurance right?

Cause my registration expires in november 09 but the insurance is good til like 9/2010. So in order to use that insurance my dad (name is on the registration) would have to renew the registration right?

Got back from florida and noticed the rt ft tire was low and almost sitting on the rim. Its leaking at the bead so I hit it a few times with a BFH and put air in it. No more soapy bubbles! I really should drive it from time to time.

Hopefully next week I will get some welding done on the frame stiffeners.

No because the reg is under my name, but the insurance is on my dad's policy. So I've been paying the reg b/c it's addressed to me, and my dad pays the insurance.

Alright cool so I can just switch the registration over to my name.

Maybe I'll get some cool XJ related plates

I'm thinking:

You should be able to. I still want to get some custom plates for mine. I like your idea, b/c that would apply to mine too

knowing California, that would probably be blacklisted since it would "offend Prius owners" lol

A while ago I saw guy on here who had MMMMGAS for his Wrangler and he worked for the EPA. If I could get that one here I'd always try to park next to a prius

When I had my '90 XJ I was going to get vanity plates and the DMV said it was going to be an extra 150 bucks, so I said F-that. CT DMV are retards. They couldn't even put paperwork through. 6 months after my '90 got hit and I got my black 2000, the plates were still registered as a "white 1990 jeep cherokee" when mine was clearly black. This is after I went to them and had it switched. I'm surprised I didn't get pulled over from a cop scanning plates for stolen vehicles. I called DMV and they were like "yeah we have those plates as a black 2000 in our file but the paperwork hasn't gone through yet". I told them that I had it switched over 6 months ago and that if I got pulled over they were paying the ticket as well as any other expenses. Somehow they got the paperwork through 2 days later...

Pulled in my driveway and heard a popping noise. Tracked it down to the flex joint in my track bar.

Edit: After closer investigation, it turns out it wasn't the flex joint, luckily. Now I can continue with my new track bar build as planned.

Mayhem in potentia

put in 2 hockey pucks on each side on the front. Hopefully that's enough.

Was going to use a bolt, but I couldn't get the freaking coils out. Jacked up the opposite side and even stuck a jack between the frame and axle, but couldn't get it far enough down. Should've just pulled the shocks, that's probably the problem. I just said screw it and used RTV on one side, and emblem adhesive on the other - just to see which works best.

Going wheeling tomorrow and sunday.
