Went driving on the beach down here in the OBX, tried to pull out a Yukon XL with malfunctioning 4wd, and got stuck in the process. Got it moving a little bit, but he was dug too far down and his rear tires weren't doing anything for him. Since I'm not locked, the tires started spinning and digging down deeper until both axles were flexed out opposite of each other and the axles were touching the sand. Couldn't back up or go forward. A huge utility truck drove by and stopped and was nice enough to pull the dude out with his truck. After I got the dead weight off the back of my Jeep and dug out some of the sand, I was able to get out pretty quickly.

Lesson learned. I'm ordering a locker before I get my gears installed.

Fixed my front passenger shock today. What happened was when I was wheeling the shock pulled through and stripped the threads. I had a friend weld a washer onto the top of the shock and it works well. Yestarday I was driving and it felt like i didnt have a shock on the passenger side so i pulled over to check it. Turns out on the bottom mount one of the bolts fell off(yes, I used a lock washer) and so the bushing pulled out of the shock and the shock was hanging. I ran two new bolts and its holding up.
Lesson to be learned: Don't buy rough country shocks.

Yeah idk, everything's connected but I did some research online and found out something was hooked up to a "live" wire I guess but I'm not sure what could be and where. For some reason it only randomly stays on sometimes too..

Drove home from work today and it sounded like air was being let out of my tire or something every time I braked and I checked out my driverside rotor and I'm pretty sure it's destroyed, huge gashes in it.

Put my new to me Pro Comp MX6 monos on the rear on mine this evening.

Rides amazign and gained flex because my others were way too long. I set them on the second setting from softest. May turn them up but a like it. Especially with a rear AAL and block. I t rides better than the front with pro rate coils.

nope, no armor underneath. thatll change..i plan on makin a tcase skid but only thing ive hit in the mud was a rock and that was twice with the passengers side tire (not the axle or anything) but otherwise, ive gone wheeling so many times in the same spot, i know pretty much where everything is. not being cocky, just saying there needs to be more places to wheel around here!
