Cleaned out the inside for the first time in a year. Now I feel kind of bad for beating her up so bad on the trees last time we were out..

Fuel mileage is back up to 16.9 avg for tank. Not bad for a tired ol gal.

His story is not backed up by the evidence when I look at the damage inside the locker itself.

He claims he put an 8.8 in his XJ, then, not having any use for the D35 any longer he pulled the locker out & put it up for sale. His listing claims it's in "good condition" and "works awesome".

According to Eaton, the damage is consistent with driving some distance on a spacesaver spare. Looks like he blew up his pinion and took out the locker at that time.

He admits to taking the locker apart "to make sure everything was OK" before selling it, but now feels no responsibility when it's evident that everything is not OK.

I realize I'm only out $100 and should probably be the better man and just let it go... but I'm not feeling that charitable.

I'd like to let him become the next Charlie Wenzel (if you are not familiar, Google his name, it's worth the time), a cautionary tale for Craigslist sellers the world over who may be tempted to pass their junk off as useable parts.

Is anyone in the Willamette Valley area interested in helping me track this young man down so he can be made an example of? (Of course, I'd be willing to give him his broken locker back in exchange for my $100)

All I've got so far is his first name, cell #, the town he lives in and the town he works in. I may be able to pick him up on his commute home and get his physical address that way, haven't tried that yet.
I think where you first went wrong was trying to lock a d35.

Not really much you can legally do of the guy refuses a refund, aside from small claims court. 100$ isn't worth it.

But on the bright side, you now have spare parts if you buy another Detroit locker.

Took advantage of the warm weather and gave her a much needed bath; she's all shiny but I see some spots on the black paint that need a little touch up. And since it's warmed up, her temps are staying at 215 After last year's fun and games with the overheating incident, I flat out don't like her running at that temp; especially considering it's not even summer yet..grrrr. This is why I'm not taking the cranky teenager down to Florida later this month..don't want a repeat of last years events.

Driver's side rear door window refused to close on the way to work last night.

After pulling door panel off, I found that by banging on the regulator while holding the switch, it'd work.

Thought it had something to do with being all the way down, so I cut a piece of Micarta to use as a stop. Result, the window will stick no matter where it is in it's travel, the bind at the bottom of the travel is the issue, not how far down the window is. (I hope that makes some kind of sense)

Short-term fix, just don't roll back window all the way down.

If it does get stuck again I hope to be able to jar it loose by slamming the door.

Going to give Ruffstuff some more business, and get the very last of the stuff I need for WJ swap. Now I just need to find some down time so I can put all these parts together.
