I see what he's talking about with the slant on the hoops. I always thought you did it for angry eyes.

Tubework is pre-bent at Dirtbound Offroad. While I do enjoy the aggresive look, I chose this hoop setup because it offers the most protection of the header panel over any hoop setup Ive seen out there. The "angry eye" part is partially cosmetic but I cant see any legitimate benefit from the headlight hoops going straight across. So might as well make them look pissed.

The battle wounds on the bumpers finish versus how clean my header panel is, is a testament to the functionality of this hoop design.

Soooo my exhaust heat shield above the muffler fell off. Been running it without issue but just dont want to put it back. Any other insulating options? Maybe something I can spray on the underside?

Got 4 of them, both wheels and tires, for $50 worth of ammo off of a buddy.

Getting them onto the jeep however is proving to be an issue.
The rear drums off the truck it came from are smaller than the xjs, so the center hole is smaller.

I'll be going at it with the die grinder in the AM, right now, im completely dead.

Oh, and I broke her cherry....83 in a 65.
Never once did I get a speeding ticket in my ZJ, which by all estimates should have been a cop magnet.
Go on one road trip, driving with the flow of traffic, and *POOF* goes $200

Picked this up locally (well he delivered it) on the cheap. JL Audio Vantage 10" box.

Stoked, looked for one for months before I built my system. Time for a rebuild I guess?

Also replaced my blower motor yesterday morning. PITA to get it in and out, but MAN it is like a furnace in there now. That and the resistor last week, it is super efficient right now.

-- Super efficient ?? sounds good

I been wondering about mine - When I turn the heat on, even low the volt gauge moves about 1/4 - 1/3 to the left of 14V seems like a lot to me.
I'm afraid to run it at night with the wipers (when you need defrost the most).

does that mean it needs replaced, and/ or the resistors ???

Probably.

My resistor was all corroded and the blower was in pretty rough shape. 200,000 KM's and 14 years later, it has served well. My blower actually stopped working last week, I had to beat on it with a hammer to get it spinning again. Probably what cooked the resistor too.

Even on low power now it moves a lot more air.

Washed and cleaned the cranky teenager, the weather is finally warming up. While I was out I saw the coolest Jeep...it was a full size pick up and it had "J 10"on the front quarter panel by the driver's side door. I was driving or I would have taken a pic...bright red with fishing rod holxers on the bumper...beautiful Jeep.

Drove it to work at the Jeep dealership for my first day of employment and found a friend!

My leafs are starting to get a weird thing where the main leaf gets flat on both ends so I'm thinking its time to look at new springs, would it be better to try to track down a 2 or 2.5 inch leaf spring and keep my JKS shackles or go back to stock shackles and run RE 3.5 inch springs? to level the front I'm planning an extra spring isolator if need be
