Not always, and in all vehicles.

My neighbor pulled up in front of his garage, left vehicle in neutral, running,

set park brake, went to open garage door, vehicle rolled down the driveway.

He got in, vehicle would not move forward until release of park brake.....

I have seen this happen on several vehicles..

On the parking brake discussion, I have all new everything out back in the drums, and the ebrake is still weak when trying to hold it from rolling back. I can lock them up forward though, and my TJ was the same way (5spd).

I think you have seen several vehicles with improperly adjusted parking brakes.

The effectiveness of my parking brake went way down when I upgraded tires from stock size to 31s. I also notice a difference in its effectiveness depending on what I have in the XJ. I've been postponing adjusting them because I'd like to think I'll be doing the drum to disc swap before the winter.

Noticed the beans leaking gear oil out of the front driver side tube. The little plastic thing I guess broke off but that shouldn't hold oil in? Ideas? Bad inner seal?

None whatsoever. Eventually I plan on taking it all out and that might be a different story.

Here's that pic I promised. Want to beeline the back of seat but haven't decided how to yet. Any hints?
