Ok so it's been quite a while since I've been on here. I've had a lot of shooting competitions lately that have been consuming my time and energy. But with winter Hastily approaching, Time to get the old XJ ready for all the winter hunts and fun. Got the tranny pulled apart to find the problem with 5th gear, the main jam nut wasn't set right. Got to get her back together next week end. Get the front drive shaft in the new T-case linkage and only about a hundred other little things to make sure she's ready for my hunting trip next month. A lot of work and very little time to do it.

This could be a stupid question but what the heck

My dad recently replaced the rear leafs on his 69 camaro, they weren't even old he's just pampered and didn't love how they felt on the road
Anyways we measured them and they seem to be about the same size as my jeeps. I got a 98 XJ and my rear passenger leaf is tweaked. Could I switch them or maybe sort of merge them to help with the lean? Just trying to save money here haha

The mini beast left me stranded yesterday at Burger King..she wouldn't start at all. I could hear the fuel pump prime but the starter wasn't doing anything. Called Triple A for a quick tow home last night..took the roomies Wrangler to work, while it's fun to drive I missed my XJ. After my buddy, Lucky, checked the starter with his fancy multi reader we discovered it's fine, the relay is good and my battery is not the problem. That stinking NSS has bit the dust..tried cleaning it and still nothing; we are holding a memorial service for it on Friday when the new one gets here. (ordered it from my new favorite online store Rock Auto) This better be it for a little bit..this beast is biting into my Christmas budget, if this keeps up the kids are getting socks for Christmas

^ for future reference is you play with the gear selector a little bit it will start. Try moving from park to neutral, holding pressure against the stick etc.

JeepComanche...when she would do that before I could wiggle the gear shift and she'd start but not this time. I tried for almost 30 minutes in the parking lot and nothing. My mechanic friend took it off and cleaned it but still nothing. Time to bite the bullet and just get a new one..thanks to my Dad for hooking me up and spoiling his oldest child; if not I would be Jeepless for a week

Flushed the radiator and added a cleaner. Drained the oil as well. Changed the oil filter to a k&n. The SOB only had 2- 1/2 quarts of oil.....was pretty damn low. She's topped off and loving it, I can tell the difference. Mind you I just bought it about 2 months ago! Shoulda checked the oil sooner but figured they would check that! Going to be doing the t-case, tranny, and diffs in the next few weeks

Upgraded my cluster to LED's.

I am in love with it, they are more blue than the picture portrays. The Jeep feels 10 years newer for some reason, although its now blatantly obvious how dull the HVAC controls are. Thats next I suppose, but for now Im enjoy a nice little $20 mod. Sometimes its the little things.

Do you mean you added Seafoam to the fuel or the oil ?
