I originally wanted o use tht stuff with the black kind of tar-y back.
I can take a pic later but its two foil pieces with plastic in between. the plastic has airbubbles throughout. dosent seem to flatten unless a good amount of pressure is applied. I bought mine at a swap meet but its the same as this stuff. http://www.lobucrod.com/

I sprayed 3M adhesive on the floor only, let it tack up and that was plenty sticky to hold it down.

For proper application when using spray adhesive is to spray both surfaces, wait 3-5 minutes and then stick. Unless you're gonna hope the carpet holds it down.

I normally do that, but this time i read the can lol. It said you could do either but spraying both sides was obviously stronger. But id figure that i would try it and it worked plenty well. It stuck immediately and now it wont come up. And the trim pieces arent in yet so i pulled up the carpet and checked and its not coming up anytime soon lol.

Will do. I dont think its too thick at all. And im really happy with it. I want to put a piece on the back of the cab, and above the headliner. Oh and i added two pieces on each side of the tunnel that go to the firewall.

You'll be lovin' that. It's gonna seem like you fixed a bunch of things you can't hear anymore.

The nonporous surface of the foil allows very good 'stick' with single sided application . If it were porous , then a two sided application is best .

We used the spray addy a lot when building counter tops .

Well this is my XJ with no muffler....it's almost unbearably loud.

Replaced my upstream 159K mile O2 sensors. Took all of 10 minutes. Guess i'll order the downstream ones too.

Nothing unusual to report.
