I've done this as well but I had to drive 30 minutes back from the trail to my house. Shock mount busted loose and took the brake lines with it...

Too much of a vender $ increase, but this is not the place for that.

30 bucks a year is really nothing, so I have no problem paying to support the forum.

^^^ Agreed. I can say having access to all the info on here has easily saved me more than my membership fees - so why not give a little.

Makes you wonder how many people are driving around like that. Working at a parts house for 7 years, I saw these horror stories first hand. And what's worse is when the customer says to you, "I don't want to pay that, I'll just have to drive it like this for a few weeks". The sad part Is this happens every day!!!

Amazing how good we get at that stuff, ain't it. High five! I always found it amusing when I was at the parts house, people would make a huge deal about having to change a U-joint or hub and I would just be like psssh that's a 45 minute job max. Counting clean up!! I'm sure you think the same when hearing these things.

Finally got the brake lines done. Feels good to know I don't have to worry about that rusted old line and now I've got the length to flex out all the way.

Got my rear brake lines pulled off and the hose. Going to replace the steel lines and have an extended stainless steel braided line made to replace the hose.

Im a little nervous...but as many know by now I brought my first Jeep a few days ago, and want to do all the work myself even though I have NEVER touched anything mechanical on a car before in my life....

So..without further adue, tonight I am going to attempt my first fix...and that is attaching a new tailpipe.

So today, I will be attaching a new tailpipe
