Bought some bolts, drilled out the bolts that were stuck so I can mount my sway bar again. Didn't like it much off, can't trust people to drive right. Thinking of ways to make some cheap disconnects.

Also flexed a little with my Bro and his collie, not a bad little truck,

Look around, you can make your own for about ten dollars. I have the Rubicon express gen 2, but only Cuz they came with my lift.

It's called not wanting to spend 160 on something I can just as easy make. Especially when I'm on a budget.

Frustrating isn't it? I'll get to do mine AGAIN by the time it all seizes up when I'm ready to do my lift.

Speaking of frustration... Anyone have a good way to get the flange bolts (broken off) out of the header without pulling it off?

Frustrating is a understatement my friend, I soaked the bolts on 3 in 1 oil to maybe help them out if I take them out again but that might not even help

Put the front end back on it. Went to put the headlights in and couldnt find the springs that hold the housings... damn. Looks like a junkyard trip is in store. Other than that the xj is finallly almost done. after a years worth of time to get the engine back and everything back together again two times over lol.

Then search out homebrew disconnects and get creative.

Parts - 1/2" bolts, some threaded rod, some flat stock bent into U brackets and drilled, a couple of rod ends, and a couple bungie cords.

Tools- drill press and welder, wrenches - maybe less if you're resourceful.

Done.

This was a mocked up picture. I don't use the clevis pin anymore - clip popped out on a corner once. I just use a 1/2" allen head bolt and carry a allen key and small adjustable in the glove box.

Nothing done to it. Heard a new noise to investigate. Spent the last day sweating over this god forsaken ZJ. I hate it. Turns out the manifold has a gaping crack, which is what started this ****storm in the first place. Anyway, the owner is very cool and far less upset about it than I am.

I'd be careful with one mans word. It's gonna a different story when you call in a claim. They may try and come up with an excuse to get outa payin.

I figured. I was having more fun messing with this girl. I really wanted to know if they will cover my Jeep after lifting it. I was told, "Progressive's policy/premiums/coverages do not change as long as the lift kit is not more than 4 inches". So take that at face value I guess.
