Going to wash all the crap off the undercarriage and inspect it for further damage

it doesnt look that dirty underneath from your pictures.

Yeah skids would be a serious help, but you know how it is on a high school/college budget.

It didn't look too bad there because I scraped a lot off. It was caked on thick on pumpkins and axles, wheel wells, all around my brakes, and above the cat and muffler (I discovered a nice hole in the muffler upon crawling under today). Left a good stain on the driveway though

You think that's bad? I'm on crossmember #2, and soon will be moving to #3.

If you're going to replace it, get one that is an aftermarket, heavy duty replacement. You'll just do that again to another OEM one.

Yeah, it is pretty minor, but it still didn't make me happy when I looked underneath and saw that. And I thought I avoided all the big *** rocks... Hopefully when I lift it next summer ( or sooner) I will be getting skids too

Redid my CB system, moved the antenna from the rear bumper to the drivers side above the gas tank, gives it more clearance over the roof for better L.O.S. taking a breather since its like 90+ degrees outside than going to rewire my CB with a noise filter. Than go wheel it and jam to some old school Staind or Disturbed....you know, good wheelin music to pump you up!!!

Pressure washed the underbody and detailing it for the trip to the Smokies.

Also, greased all front end and made a custom swar bar link bushing. I lost my other one driving down a bumpy road. Anyways, pics will be in my build thread shortly.

Went out wheeling for the first time this past saturday. Friday evening, I went out and bought an angle grinder to take care of cutting and folding the rear fenders. Fronts should come sometime this week, and soon I'll be pool-noodling my front fenders as well as duplicolor bedlining the rockers and fender edges. Didn't have time to prep and paint the edges of the rear fenders before they got muddy, but hopefully it shouldn't matter much with the bedliner overtop. Overall, I was very pleased with the way they came out. Even though you can still see the notches around the edge, painting it all black should make it much less noticable.

Didn't get many pics while wheeling since my photographer was in the Jeep next to me lol.

I was stressing here with no skidplates and a 1" TC drop, but made it over fine. Besides, its just dirt (check out right rocker for clearance)
