I started pricing lockers front and rear and started scouring local junkyards for the magical 12 throw 258 crankshaft and rods so I can start my springtime stroker buildup. Found a blown 258 (dropped valve) in a high mileage CJ for a 100 bucks, but I havent gone and pulled the pan yet to inspect for damage.

Looking at fundage, it's gonna have to be one or the other. Stroker or gears/locker? The budget is looking tight.

Picked it up from the shop...$1400. It was leaking transmission fluid, transfer case oil, motor oil, and coolant. Got everything checked out and gave me piece of mind again. I'd say it was worth it to be confident in my XJ for a while.

i hope so too..im assuming the speed bumps in my gf's neighborhood. there are 6 of them going to her house and they are literally like the yellow parking blocks as far as the angle and height. they are hell on the suspension and i dont hit them like a crazy mo-fo, but other than that, i dont really know why it would crack like that.

Cap, rotor, wires, and plugs. Broke one of the champion plugs I was installing, and had to use an autolite one.

Also replaced my airfilter, which was half covered in milkshake... A new head gasket and a valve cover cleaning might be in the near future...

yeah they have the exact same ones near the commuter parking lot on campus. Even if you go over them at 1 mph it still feels like stuff is gunna break. They actually took those same kind out of another parking lot because some guy in a BMW got some stuff ripped off from the underside of his car and attempted to sue the university. I've actually just driven around them on the grass. It usually surprises passengers, but thats why I got a jeep
