Got all my speakers in, only broke one thing!!! Well broke two, but fixed one.

i sanded down one of the "frame rails" so that i can weld on some 3/16th or 1/4 steel to beef it up

forgot, as well as new wiper blades, i hit a nice big mud filled sloshy puddle and got it a little dirty. scary stuff, i need a new front drive shaft so i can hit stuff with confidence

Was driving home from work and my seat was squeaking like usual... I decided to move around and make it squeak more to try and isolate the noise. About 5 seconds later my seat broke and I had to drive home with gangster lean. Turns out the welds broke on one of the supports. I don't currently have a working welder so I just put about 11 screws through it. Seems a lot stronger than before and no more squeak.

Installed my shocks today.

Had to cut out the rear deck to access the broken shock bolts. WHAT A PAIN!!!!! Thats ok found out my rear carpet was soaked along with my front carpet total strip out required.

Why not use a different set up Mopar? the shock bolts where a little much... Oh well, GOT-R-DONE!!!

More play by play tomorrow. ANIMAL IS ALMOST READY

I lol'd on the gansta lean and woke up my co-workers.
Nice job on tracking down the problem and alleviating.
I'd say you either had Friday afternoon welds or an oversize PO.

my drivers side did the same thing as jeepkids..i think my PO was pretty heavy, it cracked right at the front mount..i used a washer to hold it in but when i would corner hard left sometimes, the washer would slip and id fall over haha. i just ended up going to upull and getting a new seat.

I just put a 12" Rockford Fosgate p2 in the back on mine and sounds great. I bought mine used, as long as you know who selling it and it isn't broken you should be good.

Kickers and Alpine are the leading brands right now in subs. Check out crutchfield.com for some good prices too.

Found out my friend bought a 2000 XJ (the one I made a thread about fitting three car seats fitting in the back). And yes they fit, and yes, he has a username on here from when he had an 89 XJ.

1999 XJ. 235 Big O AT's. Clear bumper and side markers. 6.5 inch speakers in rear. Soon to be all LED bulbs (need turn signal flasher and led bulbs and gauge lights).

Popped in my replacement fuel injectors. One of them was dripping fuel out of the end when I popped the rail and injectors out... I think I found the leak-down culprit. A second one was a little drippy, so that one could have been leaking as well.

I then reset the comp and took it for a test drive...no leaks, same performance as before. Both sets were the Bosch 927, but the second set was a darker green and had a machined aluminum end, not plastic like the first set. They weigh a lot more too?

Waited a couple hours, fired it up and it started better... will give it a few days for the Heep to get used to its nee settings and see.
