Just got done packing the Jeep for the Rubicon Trail. Tools, parts, recovery gear, tent cot, sleeping bag, chair, gas can, PETT bags. Retorqued lug nuts, beadlock bolts, u-bolts, and new hub bearings. Checked all fluids.
Only have clothing and food left to do. I think. What am I going to forget? Ah, don't forget the insect repellant.
Can't wait to get out of town Wednesday and up into the mountains.
Ordered two Hella 500s to replace the bajas on my rack. Got em for 50 bucks like new with all wiring off of amazon. Amazon is 3000000000000 times better than ebay as far as purchasing, just never have anything i need.
Well, I found out that I need a passenger lower ball joint and drivers LCA bushing. Not to mention that I need to do a new belt, sway bar bushings (got 'em) and fan clutch (got it). I'm honestly getting tired of wrenching on it right now and once that's done, I'm taking a break from wrenching on it unless it's something I have to do.
Just ordered two Hella FF500 for 50 bucks on ebay. I got an email from ebay for 10 bucks off shipping, and shipping was 9.95 so i got free shipping. All in all i basically got 4 new hellas (with some defects, they are refurbs) for 107 bucks. The hella FF500s look identical to the standard 500 as far as the housing, so they will all match and IMO look nicer on my rig.
