re-attached my shocks after having ALL the front shock bolts snap while mudding.....then put in a new steering stabilizer (which broke while mudding)...and putting in a larger trac bar mounting bolt after the old on wallowed out the original hole..(also because of mudding)

you could use the u shaped stuff for the front only. i don't think that it would work for the rear very well.

Tonight I changed the gasket on my thermostat because it's been leaking. I also changed the rear diff fluid because the rear diff was leaking, and I also removed the roof-top tire carrier.... which now for sale.
Tomorrow I'll be organizing my parts box, tool bag, and prepping for some weekend wheeling at Rausch on Sunday. I'm planning on hitting some blues and blacks. This will be the last wheeling trip before its transformation (fingers are crossed).

I'm going to probably try and fix some rust areas. There's two 2inx3in circular spots on the roof, right on the edge by the windshield. Then there's a few small areas toward the rear hatch. I'm going to get it down to bare metal, add a layer of filler so it's smooth, prime, paint, and clear it.
Also, the gasket the goes around the windshield is peeling up on the top edges, and the whole top poped out of the channel in a carwash. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on wha to attach it with? Do they sell a winshield type adhesive? Thanks!

yeah it nice to have near by ( Im about 45 minutes north of Summit) .I haven't been there yet since I bought the jeep though. I used to frequent Summit with my previous car though ( 03 supercharged focus). I cant wait for their truck fest this year to bad its not till the end of summer.
To keep on topic I candied over my taillights yesterday to get rid of the ugly amber lense. I masked the reverse lights to round the corners and candied everythign else. No pics right now but I'll try to get some up .

If you used them, they would matched up with what you did with your fenders or you can get black rivets....

Today while greasing my front end, I noticed that my driverside front rim was pretty bent, so I hammered it back into shape. I also organized my toolbag, strapped my spare into the inside of the rig, and organized my spare parts. We're in tip-top shape for wheeling!
Oh, and I scored and XJ Dana 44!!!!
