is it rusted through or surface rust? if you like a black two tone, you can do like i did and sand it off and herculine over it.

just make sure to sand it all off so it doesnt come back.

well, you can do it the right way or just cover it up. ive got a small rust hole behind the rear drivers side tire in the wheel well. my plan is to cut out a square around it, get all the junk thats gotten in there from muddin, bend up a pieces of steel and get it welded in..then paint over it to prevent rust from coming back. other way would be to sand it and put some bondo or fiberglass filler over it. but the rust will just end up coming back.

ive got a friend who works with auto body stuff so thats where i get all my info from. im gonna do the cut and re-weld repair on my jeep just because the area that is rusting sees alot of crap and junk that could easily get a rust hole re-started.

as for the red jeep club, just something to put in your sig. heres the thread

cut out the rockers weld in square tube, rocksliders and rockers combined.

search in the xj tech for erics write up on his, you can get a general idea and go from there, he cut his higher for better clearance not for rust but it is probably the best way to replace rockers in my opinion
