what is the best size tire with a 2 inch lift

what will the best size tire to run with a 2 inch lift and what kind of tire

Probably 30x9.50's, if you don't want to trim. with a small amount of trimming and proper bumpstopping you could run 31x10.50's. and bf goodrich at's FTW.

I'm going to use 31x10.5 with mine. I was going to remove the flares... But xjfever do you mean a small amount of trimming of the flare or sheetmetal? I've seen some XJs with a little bit of the flares and the bumper endcap trimmed-- is that all you need to do to fit 31"?

You should be able to get by with removing the flares and trimming the end caps. If you use the factory wheels you will rub the control arms at full lock, but you can fix that by adjusting your steering stops. If you are planning on wheeling it you will need to extend the bumpstops, even with removing the flares you will rub when flexed, if you don't bumpstop correctly.
