Theses two past weekends i have rebuilt the rear subframe and leaf hangers. Everything is bolted and welded in as of now, going to be running middle and rear stiffeners to tie it all together.

http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f11/x...epair-1457745/

The next thing it will get after stiffeners is a rear bumper, i havent decided on which one yet. I really like dirtbounds cut and fold but not too sure about the mounting system. I am in need of a new spring pack, i have been looking at OME packs or rubi express, leaning more toward RE.

Looks like it came together well. Welding sheet metal sucks.

It did, and it came good. It used to creak and sh*t when rocked now no noises and the new subframe wont budge. No joke about sheet metal, took 30 min to find the sweet spot on the welder. Lol

Fabbed up some a pillar light mounts and put my 3.5" warns on them. Also bedlined my rear quarters and put some expanded metal in my roof rack. My buddy was at the junk yard and found my driver headlight bezel because mine was missing since i bought it, so i bedlined the grille and both bezels.

Sheeww that subframe swap made me cringe a little, as I have a 6 inch section of the rail behind my passenger bumpstop that has rust in it bad enough that it needs cut out, but shackle end and hitch mounting area is all solid.

Nice work on it though! Lookin good.

Get it cut out at least, with it rusty its junk. Id cut it out an coat it so the rust doesn't spread. It wasnt easy but its now stronger than when i bought it. Thanks man!

Thats the plan, once it warms up Im going to cut it out and weld new in on that section. This is my 3rd XJ in a row with rust in the same spot. Passenger subframe rail between the hitch and bumpstop. Thankfully leaf mounts are solid.
