Braced my sliders in today. I decided to do this after helping my buddy build his rockers. He gave me about 12' of 2x6x3/16 so im taking ideas for a front bumper now.

cant wait .. what design do you have in mind.

you can get some tie in brackets, like from JCR for like 30$ and put a peice of 2x6 between them .. its really simple but solid

Yea i hate drilling holes, if I built my own Id probably still buy tie in brackets and work off of those. Drilling thick steel is such a pain in the *** for sone reason lol

Yea ... it looks like bit of a Pain .. maybe not too bad really .. just got to make the cuts, and mark and drill the holes I guess.. maybe a good hour or two to make them .. I would buy them too, they are cheap so for the money I think they are worth not having to do all that... However .. you could just weld right to the uni body and not make it bolt on .. just make it hard core and part of the jeep. I like that idea the best.

Yea for how cheap they are its almost not worth the time to make them. Especially if the holes were marked wrong, which would be pretty easy to do. With it tying into so many bolts, being off just an 1/8" on a couple holes would be enough to throw em out of whack.

yea for sure .. and you still have to buy the steel and bolts .. so subtract that from the cost .. makes them pretty cheap

but you still cant beat welding right to the unibody
